The purpose of GRISCHLINGUA is to provide a privately run business institution. The school is open to everybody, no matter of what nationality, religion or political opinion.

Offer and Aims

GRISCHLINGUA knows about the importance of communications-based learning processes. Students are confronted with the practical usage of the language in order to achieve quick success where their learning in concerned. GRISCHLINGUA focuses on imparting a good grammatical basis, while not forgetting the importance of teaching the language in its entirety. This is of special significance in a country like Switzerland, where a fast-growing part of the population is of foreign origin. This results in widespread attempts to self-teach the language, with the attendant problems of linguistic confusion.

GRISCHLINGUA’S mission is to teach languages in a relaxing atmosphere, by means of a well-balanced learning program based on practical and communicative principles.

The uniting of Europe means a bigger challenge for all providers of language courses, with students needing to learn foreign languages in ever-shorter times. Helmut Falta took over the GRISCHLINGUA language school in the year 1990,

after having worked for the previous owners, Kees Idenburg and Jachen Andry, for 2 years as a German and Spanish teacher. The takeover coincided with the relocation of the school and translation agency to the new address at Promenade 120.

Helmut Falta has a solid background in language education. From 1967 to 1970, he was a student at the municipal language school in Munich, from where he graduated with a translation diploma in English and Spanish. From 1978 to 1981, he finished his education at the DOZ in Zurich. Various stays abroad made it possible to improve and use both languages.

Einige Jahre als Freelance Übersetzer folgten, mit Aufträgen für renommierte Firmen und Unternehmen. Gerade auf dem sich rasant enwickelnden Übersetzungssektor sind schnelle Adaptation und stete Weiterbildung unumgänglich.
